Peter Young is a qualified solicitor in three jurisdictions  (England & Wales, Gibraltar and the Republic of Ireland) with over 25 years of international legal and investment experience. He specialises in investment funds, private equity, and cross-border structuring, with particular expertise in technology-driven sectors such as e-money, cryptocurrencies, and electronic commerce.

Peter advises clients across the full investment cycle — from fund formation and structuring, through investment execution and governance, to exits and restructurings. His work spans multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Dubai, Spain, France, and the US.

He is the founder of a Gibraltar-based family office services business, providing offshore legal and accounting service packages to international investors. He has also served as Head of Legal at a London-based investment manager, where he led private equity transactions in real estate, leisure, dining, pharma, and technology.

Previously, Peter led the Gibraltar investment funds practice at a London-based international law firm, and was Chief Legal Officer at a domain name registry where he oversaw major negotiations and international disputes. Earlier in his career, he practised at a couple of leading London and Gibraltar law firms.

He has also acted for significant decentralised exchanges and other entities  in the crypto space such as ICO issuances in respect of fund raising and Gibraltar and UK regulatory exposure.

Peter is licensed as a director of Gibraltar Experienced Investor Funds and continues to serve on three fund boards, with responsibility for governance, compliance, and investment oversight.

He has contributed to a range of professional publications and regularly engages with industry bodies on developments in law, investment, and financial services.
